    Trek 6700 2010 vs. 2011

I'm looking to get into mountainbiking and I see that my local bike shop is selling a 2010 Trek 6700 for around $1,200. The 2011 Trek 6700 is $2,000. Why the $800 difference? Is it just because its a previous model, or did Trek change alot of components and increase the price?

If the 2010 6700 is similar to the 2011, I'm just going to get that one. If not, I'll probably just get the 6000 for around $1,000. TIA

Just do a simple search into Google. I found this in 5 seconds. Compare the two.
Trek 69er SS (in progress), Trek Superfly, GT Force Carbon Expert, Trek Madone 6.2

It's pretty easy to go on Trek's site and compare different model years.

This is in the wrong forum, so that might explain the lack of response.
