Tantrum Cycles on TV, Adventure Capitalists tonite

The success of Kickstarter got the attention of Adventure Capitalists. They asked if I would be on the show. I said "sure, what's the worst that could happen?"

Tonite at 10 ET, 7 PT, CNBC

Just watched it... bummer that they didn't totally understand the value and market, but stoked you got a partner! Hopefully she isn't holding you to exclusively pursuing the road thing.

I'm really curious what kinda licensing offers you've had so far. I bet the more the industry types pedal your rigs, the more attractive the offers get!

Saw it too bad half the potential investors don't mt bike and don't really an understanding of the bike industry. Was hoping to see a bit more riding since I haven't been to Moab in 10 years. Glad you got a deal. Will be interesting to see what kind of road frame you can come up for her if you ever get to that point. It's been fun watching your journey.

They're pretty smart. Start up bike company in the current market...not great odds. I was pretty happy that they all realized and stated that they loved the bike. The road bike aspect was an unexpected pivot. I had layouts for years, but when Shawn mentioned the road bike aspect, I threw it out there.

Our deal is for road bike devo. I have to keep the MTB expenses separate. i'm really cool with that. I can keep the next batch of mtb bikes coming and the road bike end of it lets me expend my thinking of variable geometry across the board. I'm not much of a roadie, but I know the value of geo

They are definitely behind it. Lotsa good press popping up.

I sense disappointment. Maybe I sold out for road bikes. Or something. Don't be. Even if there was no deal, no offer, the commercial exposure is phenomenal.

Here's a vid they made, clips from the show

Not really much to be disappointed about... you got great exposure at minimum. The design speaks (rides) for itself and although the road project is cool it probably doesn't blow many skirts up around here.

Unless Sinyard or similar was one of the "capitalists" I can't imagine you'd ever get the funding golden ticket.

    Stoked for you!
