    stinky or pitch

So....I've started looking for a new ride.

I'm thinking kona stinky or specialized pitch.

any thoughts? or a different ride in the same price point?

    thanks-Spike

Do you want to ride trails/All Mountain?
    Or Freeride?
If it is trails then buy a Pitch.

I own an 08 pitch pro, and really like it. I am kind of making it into a lightweight AM bike though. New lighter wheels, tubeless, carbon bars/seatpost, and a new lighter fork in the spring hopefully. I dont ride anywhere near the bikes potential from an AM standpoint, but I gotta say I really like how it handles for the tech stuff. I just enjoy ripping around the trails on it. The climbs dont really bother me (I live in Western PA- short, steep climbs) the downhills are no problem cause of the bike build. The rock gardens and root sections are handled nicely. In all honesty I could probably get along just fine on a trail bike like the stumpjumper, but heck those have 140 mm forks anyway, and that is what my pitch is at. So, why not just ride something more plush since that seems to be where all bikes are heading anyway minus xc race bikes. In a few years, I could definitely see the AM/ trailbike categories merging. If you want something that really is a versatile bike, then the pitch is pretty good for that.
