    steel or aluminum

i really cant decide between an aluminum bike frame or a steel one for my new hardtail. i like riding quick tight singletrack and short technical climbs which is aluminum is great for but i am concerned that long all day rides and downhills will ware me out too fast on an aluminum frame. Do you think will be that big of a differance from my steel frame i ahve now or not.

Steel is great, but since we are in 2007 and frame materials/technology has improved I would look into aluminum. For most purposes the advantage of steel is diminishing.
