Setting preload or sag on a pike fork

I was told in the general forum that I have the wrong fork for my bike.

The bike is a giant NRS and the fork is a rockshox pike 454. I was told this fork will cause the bike to ride high in the front.

To hold me over untill I can afford to purchase another fork would it be possible to adjust the fork to ride at an appropriate height for the NRS frame?

Once set to ride lower in the stroke, if the bike was for some strange reason to say get airborn. would the fork fully extend allowing use of the total available travel upon landing?

I agree with the people that said that the Pike is too big for the NRS.... you can get the pike to a ride height that will "work". just dial it down... it won't extend when you unload the fork... the travel you set it at is the travel you will have for use
