    Schwalbe tires for AM?

What Schwalbe tires for all mountain riding? I live in North Carolina so I ride a variety of soil conditions but mostly packed dirt. Anyone rising something they'd like to recommend?

    Thanks

I'm on Muddy Mary's front and rear. Everything from hard pack to wet loam soaked trails in Oregon. The 2.35 FR tire is very robust. I like them.

Search my friend . . . . search. There are lots of current threads on the newest Schwalbe tires including the Hans Dampf's, Big Betty's, Muddy Mary's, etc. . . .

I absolutely hate my NOBBY NICKS 2.4!!!! loose or wet conditions... their grip is terrible!!! What can you expect from a "all Grounder" tyre..... changing to Minions DH soon!

I did a review on the Schwalbe Fat Albert AM tires, but was less than impressed:

The Hans Dampf's do well in most areas, but not the hard pack that one come across once in a while. They get kind of drifty, but predictably so. They just dig into that loser stuff so well.
Lead by my Lefty............... right down the trail, no brakes.

    +1 Hans Dampf

    Running them tubeless on a Nomad ... 28 psi rear / 22 front - 210lb rider

    They just work.

Go for the fat sisters, Betty and Mary. These girls are working great together.

What did you think about the Front?

I've been happily running Fat Albert 2.4" (the bigger one) Front and Rear for about a year. Quite happy with it on packed loam with pine needles, roots, rocks, damp mossy rock, the occasional muddy spot. Just need to find the right pressure. I hear it is not all that great on loose rocks. Sidewalls are surviving better than less protected ones on some lighter tires.
