2012 Trek Remedy 9.9
2012 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Evo Expert Carbon
Which would you choose?
I think I've narrowed it down to these two for my trail bike. Found both used, I think it'll cost me about 5-600 more to get the 9.9. Both seem to do about what I'm looking for and they seem to fall in the same category. I'd use it for everything from long XC rides to true AM riding. No park riding though, I plan on getting a dedicated DH bike for that abuse.
Should I go for the 9.9 simply because it is worth more and has higher specs? It retailed close to 9K new, as opposed to the Stumpy which was close to 6K new. Another thing I like about the 9.9 is the stealth Reverb. I'd take a Reverb any day over a Command Post, but as long as I have a dropper that works I won't complain. On the plus side for the Stumpy, it comes with a chain guide, something I'd have to buy for the 9.9.
So which would you chose and why?
