    recommendation

    Hola group,

I was hoping to hear some suggestions for a new rig. My current love is a 2005 Titus Switchblade, which over the years I've really shredded up lots of dirt, here in the Phoenix area. But she is getting a little long in the tooth.

I've been really itching to build a new bike. And that's exactly what I'd like to do, build the bike. So I'm looking around for a solid, medium sized frame. Was hoping to hear some recommendations.

I'd want to stick with All Mountain, and was thinking of moving into the 650b range.

Any insight or suggestions, frame wise?

    TIA,
    -Jav

not a problem... :-) (Honestly, this is my hobby/sport, so I want to go with something solid).

I threw my SB out there as a reference from where I'm coming from.

    Santa Cruz Bronson

you get free bearings for life and it has a threaded bottom bracket, so no squeaky/creaky crap you have to deal with that press fit sometimes has

theres lots of good reviews you can read about the Bronson online too

Lots of great frames in the AM category.

    Knolly Warden
    Ibis Hd3
    Pivot M6
    SC Bronson
    Turner Burner

These are the frames I would look at. In Phoenix you must have a great selection so see what fits and matches your wants. I've seen your trails and would pick the Warden. Check it out. As long as the bike fits it's hard to go wrong.
I got some bad ideas in my head.

Second that. If budget is not a problem then the Bronson should be perfect for you OP.

Turner Burner, Pivot M6. Can't go wrong with a DW link bike IMO.

You may find it helpful to review some of the video reviews that Bike Magazine puts out in their annual Bible of Bikes Test. They are on Youtube for 2013, 2014,, and 2015. Or go their website and find the link.

I think 2013-2014 they had more "all mountain" bikes. I am not saying buy a bike based on these reviews, but just use it to add to tour list and you may find that in a particular video a reviewer will say something about a bike that is exactly what you are trying to find info. On.

There are at least a couple companies coming out with 29er bikes in this area that are getting amazing reviews. You may want to do some research on the Evil Following, and the Transition Smuggler before crossing off 29ers.
