prophet 4x replica or mx 1. which is better for all mtn?

I'm having ar eally tough time deciding between these two. im looking to buy one of these as a little bit of everything kind of bike. base off component setup i believe the mx 1 would be a better choice, but the components on the 4-cross one i like better. dunno about that lefty though, thats my main concern. what do you think is better? im looking to do trailing, light freeride, some long distance riding, a little dj too. pics of the two bikes, first ones the 4-cross and the other is the mx 1

Wow thats a hard pick. My brother just got a roco on his big single piviot ride and like the way it feels on the trail.

Ok the big expensive differances are: shock, fork.

The MX1 has 2 chain rings up front which will help on the trails a lot. But my brother has a roco on his big single pivot bike and loves it even on the trails.

IMO the MX1 would be the better trail bike with the 2 chain rings and the fork because you do not like the lefty. ANd it would be a big waste to take off the e-13 srs chain guide to go with 2 rings up front on the 4x.

    My vote: MX1

I am also tooling around with the idea of a bike for that purpose, I'd let me know what you pick and how it works out.

    Good Luck

I would go with the MX1. You can do everything with this one. Nice looking bikes.

mx b/c it has a stable platform shock. IT is also designed to take more abuse than the 4x and will last longer

MX. You will likely want multiple chainrings when doing long rides.
When under pressure, your level of performance will sink to your level of preparation.
