If the bike is in clean, good condition and has been well maintained, I'd say around $400. Not much more though . . .
I have had two Marlin's in the past (fantastic bikes by the way, really liked both of them) and I bought both new from the LBS and never paid over $600
Thanks for your replies. The person is asking 500 and says the bike is in great condition with minimal use. Every review I have read of this bike has said it is amazing. I don't know if I can resist
$500 isn't really a terrible deal, but assuming the pic you posted is of the bike for sale, the kit with v-brakes is def. a lower end kit. I'd push for $400-450.
ok so the seller is sending photo tonight, he said the bike has barely been ridden and is all stock accept a minor pedal upgrade. Also the brakes are not disc breaks I think they are the stock Avid SD-3 brakes.
Hey, The seller has been stalling. I'm trying to set up the deal for this weekend. I think i will pay the asking price if the bike is in as good condition as he says it is.
Its finally spring and i just want to get riding
Thanks but I am in the same boat 5'10" so the 21" is too big and like the 19" over the 17.5. I am going to buy a 2010 19" Marlin Disc for 700 new I think. Wont pay the 500 for a bike that is eseentially 3 years old if bought in the end of 2008.
just bought it today. I am stoked! The thing doesn't have a scratch on it, looks like it came out of a showroom. I cant wait to take her out for a spin!!!!
Yeah I went and looked at it but wouldn't pay $500 for a 3 year old bike non disc (bought late 2008) when a new 2010 with disc was 700 (which I bought). Plus the guy selling was a total idiot!
