Doesn't really address the SL-R, but covers the 5.7c: Massively Long (Mostly) Carbon Frame Shootout (including Pivot)
    SL-R head angle 69 Vs. 67.1 on the 5.7c. I own a 5.7c and love it FWIW.

    Here's vitalmtb's comparison:

    Mach 5.7 (http://www.vitalmtb.com/product/guid...57#review-1091)

SL-R (2013 Ibis Mojo SL-R with XT Build ? Reviews, Comparisons, Specs ? Mountain Bikes - Vital MTB)

The vital guys had some issues with the SL-R's durability. FWIW, I've ridden an SL-R for almost 2 years without any issues (albeit, not as hard as these guys are riding it).

I'm 5'9" and ride a medium. I'm right on the cusp - could go small or medium. I had ridden the Mojo SL before and thought it was a very nice bike, but maybe more XC oriented. I haven't ridden the SL-R.

Don't rule out Mojo HDR 26 instead of the SLR. I have an HD 140 and love it, but the Pivot would be my second choice. The new HDR has similar stiffness and slightly lighter frame than the original HD plus a few additional improvements. My Frame is super stiff and the geometry feels perfect. Demo both if you can.

I'm an HD owner, but if I had to choose between the SLR and the 5.7, it'll be the Pivot. Better executed bike... thou the SLR is sexier!
The world needs a huge socio-economic change...be it. We all need to ride more....

Medium with longer stem or large with shorter...you really need to ride them, and the SL-R.
