Pinking out my Girlfriends New Bike

So I just finished step one of the "Pink My Bike" project for my girlfriend. For Step One I replaced the stock WTB lock on grips with Pink Oury Grips, and polished them off with Straitline Pink Anodized Moto Style Bar end caps. It ended up looking pretty tight, but I think the pictures can speak for themselves. Notice how it matches our Kitchen! For the next step I think I am going to stick with Straitline and throw on their matching Platform Pedals or Stem.

Very nice bike! Did you happen to see the Speedgoat raffle? Could probably give you some ideas for more blingage

Thanks for the nice comments. I did see the speedgoat raffle bike, and i am tempted to build up a pair of chris king hubs to velocity rims, not sure if its in the cards pricewise or if they make pink rims that are wide enough for all mountain tires

I did the same for my GF's bike, she's got a pretty sweet-lookin' ride so far. I just bought her a cheap-ass fork though. What's the model of that pink fork, I can't find it anywhere? A link to somewhere that sells it online would be even better.

For pedals, check out Crank Bros. 50/50, you can get a pink plate kit:

That fork was a limited run Zocchi that was only offered during the Olympics (to only the olympic athletes possibly). Very limited availability. One was sold on e-bay not too long ago.

So thanks for all the ideas. I think I might use the jagwire cables, but i am not sure because then it would have pink derailleur cables and black hydro, i wish there was pink hydro cable available. I am pretty sure I am going to get the straitline stem and pedals, they look amazing and i have been talking with the guys at straitline and they seem like solid dudes, and I like helping out the small time guys when i can.

Any one know how hard it is to swap these out? I am pretty new to Hydro disk Brakes, do you have to drain the fluid out to swap levers?

did the same thing with my gf's ride....pink dangerboy levers, terry donna pink saddle, pink oury grips....by the way u can paint the brake mounts with some spray paint...i did it on her old bike and it looke great...the terry donna pink saddle is pretty much an exact match to the oury grips...and black and pink cb 50/50xx pedals would look sweet as well

what's wrong with that? I would probably have done it to my bike instead if she wouldn't have been really jealous

The Hayes have a C-clip that you push the pin past. Be sure to remove the plunger screw from the bushing. Very nice touches.

Thought I was the only one !!

I tricked out my wife's teal colored Yeti ASR and was all proud of myself, then one day she noticed a pink saddle at the bike shop. She said it would look good on her ASR. I thought she was kidding. She wasn't and that started it all.
Bought a wheelset from a friend that had pink Cris King hubs laced to some Stans Olympic ZTR's and I got to admit pink and teal look good on a chicks bike....beats my black on Ti hardtail.

    BLASPHEMER!

My girlfriend recently told me that I have a one-track mind.
I corrected her and said, "Actually, honey, the term is single track."
