I took shiggy up to Broken mesa witch is this chunky fun desent... Well after a picture and bit to eat stop... I took his Carbon 456 for a short spin through one of the rock gardens.... Way fun bike...
I typically ride fixed everywhere and am a big wheeled fan but this sure was a fun bike.... really carved stuff up nicely.....
ok, so that makes you the only person (I know of) who's ridden both the ibis tranny and the 456carbon...
so dish!!
does it really make the tranny feel more like an xc bike in comparison?

I really am liking this bike. I had thought it could be a great all-round trail bike and adaptable to your needs via component choice. This one has a coil spring Pike U-Turn 20mm fork (running at full 140mm), heavy Vuelta All Mountain wheels and a middle of the range parts pick. Still only just over 29pounds.
They are the On-One Mary bar. About 40 degrees of sweep plus forward sweep to reduce the need for a longer stem.
Still a "straight" bar to me as I have been using dropbars off road since 1985.
