Norco Fluid One - indepth review

Norco Fluid One - indepth review

I posted this here originally because the Norco is very similar looking to the pre 2006 5 Spot

    Full writeup - http://www.nsmb.com/gear/norco_fluid1_06_06.php

    Some pics

OK - I'll admit I'm very picky. Please free to fire questions about my review.

Real world test by a real world rider. Excellent review Leel. The elevation profile gives you away.

The Fluid One has a much cleaner, less bulky look than the older Fluids. It seems to be a very capable bike that will be popular with the every day rider. I would like to see the option for a piggy back coil or air shock aka; DHX coil or air (maybe it is possible?) I weigh around 220-230lbs with gear, so the RP3 is not my first choice on any bike.

Looking forward to the long term report.

    Leel
Thanks for the review. I have been waiting to see some stuff on the Fluids. Any time frame on the "long term test" or will that be after the season?

    Thanks

    Matt

ronny - Pat from Norco who took the pictures rode the Norco with a DHX air and said it improved the bike for downhilling tremendously. The bike has space to fit that shock.

matt - imo for me to give a long term review I'd have to ride the bike hard for another 3 months or so. I expect the long term review would be around September or so.

Great review. Just noticed one typo:

The ride is more then the sum of the components
