I'm new to mountain biking so excuse me if this is a dumb question but here it is. I have a Ironhorse warrior team se, either '05 or '06, and I love everything about it except that it is a hard tail. I dont have $700 to drop on a new bike so I went online and found a '04 Ironhorse SGS team frame for a price I can afford. I was wondering if all the components, fork, seatpost, crank etc., will transfer to the new SGS frame?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I found two links that might prove helpful:

One thing that immediately jumps out at me is that the fork travel is different. The fork from your Warrior is not even close to right for that SGS frame.

The seatpost and front derailleur are common parts that often won't transfer due to differences in tubing size. Sometimes you run into different width bottom-brackets.

If you don't have the tools and the experience, you will need to pay a bike shop to do the transfer. Were it me, I would probably keep the Warrior as it is and save until I could get something new and better.
