    new ride needed

My 06 HECKLER was just stolen (from the garage even though it was locked up)
It was a very sad day saying good-bye to that mistress.

Now it is time to move on.
I don't like shopping, but I need a new ride.
Want to hit 3' but still get good quicks & climbs.

    Ideas?

    thanks for the help.

Are you buying new or used? If new, check out the trek remedy, great build, and great geometry. The giant reign also has a great build, but its a little more "trail" geometry then the remedy.

    Also check out the BLT2.

How about the GT Force Great all mountain bike. Climbs good. Good price. I have one and Love the bike.
I would try to ride as many bikes as I could before buying. Get one that feels the best for the type of riding you like to do.

Sorry to hear about the stolen bike.

Dude so sorry to hear about your stolen bike. I had my first ever MTB stolen, and i have been sooooooo careful since then. Theres nothing i hate more in this world than abike thief. They know how much that bike means to its owner. Until a few decades ago they hung horse thieves out here in the west, i can only imagine what it would have been like with mountain bikes back then!!!!

    Insurance?

Bummer, sorry to hear it. Were you insured? Good reminder for anyone that has alot invested in their bike. Also, keep any receipts for upgrades. I learned the hard way (stolen blur) that it pays off. Still wanted to break someones legs, though.

FWIW,I ended up with a new Heckler and cannot be happier.
