I am a 19 year old student living in Vancouver, BC, Canada. In May 2011 there will be a race called Mind Over Mountain Adventure Race. It consists of 10 km of kayaking, 10 km of trail running, and 10 km of mountain biking ( rough estimates). This race will take place on Burnaby Mountain, BC. I am confident that I can run and paddle. But I have never really done any intense mountain biking....I need a reality check. Can i train to do 10km of intense mountain biking within 5 months? My cardio is in average health and I am ready to do what it takes. So let's hear it! I want tips, advice, insults, whatever you can throw at me.
