Need help please. Should I go with a 17" or 19" Jamis Dakota D29 Pro?

I will be purchasing a 29er Jamis Dakota D29 Pro tomorrow from an online store. I don't know if I should go with the 17" or 19". I really don't want to get the wrong size. Currently I'm on a 26er Specialized StumpJumper FSR with a 17.5" frame.

I'm 5' 8" 1/2 tall. My inseam is 31". On my current Specialized MTB my top tube length is 21.5", measured from the center of the seat tube to the center of the headset tube. When I stand over the bike I have about 1 - 2 inches of room from the top tube near the seat post. This is without shoes on.

    Thanks in advance

Thats tough because it sounds like, ideally, an 18 would work for you. Your measurements are nearly identical to my brother's (5'9 with a 31" inseam) and he rides a 19" HT and a 18" 29er. For a 29er, you may want to go with the 17" though. The stand over height might be too much for you on the 19". I've stood over one of those and being 6'1 with a 32" inseam, it fits me fine, but definitely not as much room as my 26er hard tail.

Thank you for the reply. I will go with the 17".
