Need help - do you have X9 Truvativ (SRAM) crankset?

    Hey folks,

does anyone of you tough lads have X9 crankset nearby?

This one (ignore color, of course):

My question is, can you tell me is the spider holding chainrings a part of crank, or is the spider screwed ONTO the crank. So, is it one solid piece, or crank+spider have connecting interface.

    Help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Spider slides onto splines on the back of the crank arm and is held in place by 3 T-25 screws. Rings connect to the spider in the normal fashion.

    Hell.

Can you recommend a 2x10 GXP crankset that has solid piece crank+spider?

    So this by design:

    Only GXP 2x10 =)

Will take some pictures today, but long story short, the three Thorx screws holding spider and crank get loose during rides causing many issues. First is irritating clicking noise as the crank can move a bit, second is that the bolt (and hole) threading gets damaged. One of my 3 on the X0 crankset is already damaged and cannot hold the screw well.

This maybe would not happen if I used Loctite to fasten them from the very beginning but who would expect this.

If you look closely at the design of XX crankset you can notice that crank and spider are of the same piece of carbon.
