Yea where is he. Finnally he can play up this bike and he's nowhere to be found. But seriously he seems to love it, and has a clue of what he's talking about.

It seems like a great bike from a good company IMHO.

They are very local to me... a few miles away. Seems like a very tough bike with a great small company behind it. Any reason you are looking at the 05 and not the 06?
Personally the 06 looks friggin tight, but the 05s are probably on sale... I would consider the blitzII to replace my current steed. It also has the grease ports, ,lower standover weight, and needle bearings... but u prolly already know that

Nice bikes. Looks like a burley, blingin, turner. Cost is very appealing also.

For a simple reason that 05 frame is within my budget.......

I found my way , got a little lost playing with Blitz'n haha. The Blitz is awsome, i ride it in the 6in setting & have just left it there. The reason i dont bother changing the shock location is the spring should be replaced at the same time because of the ratio, im lazy & just want to ride. I hav found that the harder you ride it the more it enjoys it. Did a ride at Downieville & this one trail had alot of large rocks, basic rough rock garden, & Blitz was very comfortable hopping off rocks that others were going around & normialy i would also. Versus has excelent customer service, both Herb & Vivian are great people & whenever you call they answer the phones. You will love the Blitz, just be shure to ride it hard!!

I will agree that '06 Blitz is very very sweet looking.

    Hi Dogonfr,

I am really interested in getting the frame but I got only 1 problem. The standover height for Blitz size S is 30.5 inch / 774.7mm, my standover height with shoes on is about 29.3inch / 743mm. There is no allowance for me and the difference is about 1inch plus more than my standover height. My question is would it be a problem for me if I still get the frame. Will it effect my riding or would it be any difference. Please advise.

Thanks in advance, hope u guys can give me your opinion and feedback.

By the way, any difficulties in climbing hills or slope with the bike

Personally i dont feel there will be a problem. I am riding a med frame & with 6in travel i am on the frame for stand over height, 0 cleanrance. In 1 1/2 years this has not been a issue, yes i have crashed, dabed & jabed with no problem. I went for the med because of the TT length, better for climbing even though im not. I am 5'7" & inseam 31.5 measured with shoes, pants 34. Dont know if you care but the lower shok possition lowers the SO height. If you are racing DH or hucking or stunts then it will be too tall. If you are looking for a agressive XC/AM bike you will be fine. As to th e climbing the bike can climb & has great low speed balance & control. I will be honest & say that i suck at climbing, i will cimb Blitz untill i am hyperventilating then i hike, it's not the bikes fault.

Holy crap! you must be all legs! I am 5'11" and wear 32 inseam pants.
(Might have to go longer inseam, since I promised myself long ago I won't let my waist size get bigger than my inseam, and 32" waist is getting a little tight )
I agree that lack of standover clearance is not really an issue if you are a confident rider.

Haha ya there seems to be more leg than torso, pants are a 34X34 no coments. I was a 30 forever then marriage & gravity started taking there toll at 48 i refuse to get any larger. Trying to explain to the wife this is why i need to go on more riding trips, she's not buying it though, bummers.

What is the weight of just the frame? Not that my ride is real light. I'm pushing 33#'s.

Didn't know Gucci makes bikes. Thought they only trimmed out Gremlins or Pacers. Can't remember.

33 lbs!!!! i can probibly make it all the way up a hill with that.

I dont recall the frame weight i think it is somewhere around 8-9lbs. The bike can be made lighter with proper components. I got carried away with over build components. I feel if i was to put it on a diet i could get it down to about 35lbs. Hope you didnt take my response wrong.

    They make pinballs also.

It's all about how and where you ride. Here in CO., I need to be able to ascend for hours at a time, just so I can bomb down. The way my rig is set up right now it allows me to do just that. When parts break They get replaced. If they need beefing they get beefed. I think I have a good comprimise for now.

Your bike sounds like its been built with durability i mind. I'm sure that rig can take one hell of a beating and still ask for another.

Dont get me wrong im not knocking you. We all ride & thats the bottom line. For me riding the lift or shudle is a very relaxing way to the top. I do try & ride with XC guys every once in awhile because having the endurance to ride all day pays off, fortunatly for me they know me & are patient.
    Stay cool!!

I am also looking into a 05 Blitz. Can you build this bike into a trail bike that you can pedal up and down on epic 20-30 mile rides? I need to be able to pedal up hill for long distances

With the proper build & rider, yes it can climb. My best was a grueling 18 miles.
