more than XC less than FR/DH

Have just been searching for posts on all mountain hardtails. And in my search I can't believe how many threads and posts came up about "what is all mountain", "I've been riding all mountain on my recumbant roadbike pulling a baby trailer for 27 years and we never had to call it anything", "do you have to wear baggy shorts and drink Mt. Dew", bla bla bla...

When right under the "All Mountain" thread title is the best, easiest to understand, flexible and therefore open to lots of views, and to me the most spot on answer for everyone.

"more than XC, less than FR/DH"

What else is there to discuss...???

Now everyone knows how Lance won those seven tours all in a row.
You were supposed to keep that a secret.
