    Lapierre Zesty 314 2013

I'm looking to get a full sus xc bike as the Felt Nine Sport I currently have was a good starter bike to get me riding again but I need something better. I want to also move from 29" back to 26". I have been looking at the Lapierre Zesty 314 which has some good reviews. Are there any Zesty riders that can comment on this bike or any others in that price range?

    Thanks.

of course it's not popular, lapierre can't sell the zesty in the US because it's a horst link

I didn't realise there was a patent only in the US/Canada for it. There are non US/Canada riders here though.

Lapierre will begin to sell in the US starting in October...saw that in something on vitalmtb.

There was a feature article about lapierre lately on pink bike and it gave the impression it is a company hell bent on uncompromising quality

    They look like sweet bikes

It is a fun trail bike. Works really well actually. A little on the expensive side, but I think they are worth the money. The 2013 have sweet geometry. Accell Group will be the importer for North America now (previously only available in Canada).

I have taken a look at the 414 at my local bike shop and i think i prefer that to the 314.

I spent a day on a 314 in the UK. Really nice bike. Climbed well but was controlled on the downs. Not plush but controlled. Overall, a very good bike.
On MTBR, the reputation is infamous.
