Just bought a new pair of clipless shoes for some of my longer, climb intensive rides. The shoes have about 2mm vertical slack on the toe box and about 2mm horizontal distance between the toes and the front of the shoe. The foot moves around slightly when im hitting rooty sections fast.
When I land jumps on a fast downhill my foot slides forward into the toebox but not to the point where it throws me off or anything.
I tried one size down and it was too tight, so this is my size. Trying other brands is out of the question as I already bought this one (Northwave Rebel) and i like the shoe, except for the above issue.
Should I get thicker insoles? Should I try to shrink these bad boys by soaking them in water? Should I just leave them as is and get used to them?
How do your clipless shoes fit and what do you recommend i do?
Thanks a ton in advance!
