I'm asking, because I do feel like a flyweight in this forum. Most people here post stuff like "I'm looking for a bike or a fork etc., I'm 6'0 and 220-300lbs"
I was wondering if the average AM rider is heavier than the average XC guy, and lighter than the average DH/FR guy, or if it's all random.

    6' 1"
    190 lbs
    Body fat: Yes

Most of my hardcore XC mates are racing whippets for sure, but when you get more into AM and DH/FR I find you tend to get more of a random mixture.

I thought it sounded like a logical question instead of the "Best AM Weight Plan". It can make an impact on bike and suspension choices depending on the rider's weight and size. BTW, I'm 6' 0" and weigh 190.

You would die without body fat. Your supposed to maintain about 13-15% body fat.

I'm 5-8 and 200lbs buck nekkid. I haven't had a body fat test done since last year (caliper method), but my Tanita scale is saying I'm around 10%, give or take 2%. No wonder I'm slow.

    All legs and lung

6 feet + 0.5 inches tall and 150lb give or take. Body fat is low, but could be lower. I can pretty much eat & drink as much as I like during riding season.

Maybe he meant it like 5', 12"..... a bit too much info IMHO. Guess he must have big hands for a shorter guy....
