    help on used bike

I'm looking to upgrade from my 17 year old GF no suspension tassajara and have found a local bike for sale and am looking for some opinions. Its a 2007 Specialized Enduro Elite listed as like new. They are asking $1000. Good candidate, price? Anything specific to look for on this one if I give it a test ride?

if it is listed as like new, flip the bike around to see if there is dirt under the bike.

Often the most expensive things are the rims/gears/brakes.

-check to see if the rims are straight
-shift the gears to see if it sticks
-brakes, don't need to say much cos you can look at 100-200 on a mid end Avid 5

I assume that it is disc brakes, XT?
