    Cool-blue Rhythm Heeeeelp!!!

Hi guys! I write to you from the distant Siberia, absolutely do not know English, I write through Google translator. Need advice. I bought myself a frame means Jamis Dakar XC Pro 2005 carbon fiber, feathers. Read the reviews about the Dakar, that everything is bad, just broken feathers, what to do? Will the Dakar my month-long vacation in the mountains?I want to put behind the console and load the boot order of 10kg + more with a 40 liter backpack will be. So in my 55 + kg to 5 kg of luggage + 10 kg backpack .. feathers will break no?) and that can roll on this frame? Enduro possible?

it is a lightweight cross country race bike, probably not the best idea to use it as an enduro bike. i am not sure if it will break but i would not be confident in it.

You need a special bike luggage if you go by plane. Otherwise a bike bag is sufficient. Rose also offers boxes that are 10 I think. You can also use one of those.

Apparently Google doesn't understand Russian very well.

I'm possibly getting you want to go on vacation (bike camping) and you weigh 55kg plus 15kg of gear? So 70kg is only 154 pounds. And you're wondering if the bike can take that?

If that's the question, then yes it will be fine. I weigh 175 pounds or 77kg. You should not have any problems.
    The cake is a lie.

Thank you for your answers! I just saw the broken feathers on the Dakar. Lower feathers. Here is my frame - http://cs413428.vk.me/v413428548/26c/pyD6Yvq3FHU.jpg .
I'm going to make a cycling trip for 1 month. Going to put the console boot. that's why I'm worried about the feathers.

"Going to put the console boot. that's why I'm worried about the feathers."

I'm sorry...but this just made me laugh very, very hard. ka3uHaku in English feathers are what are on the body of a bird...like this https://www.google.com/search?q=feth...w=1440&bih=795

I wish google translator could work a little better for you so that we could know what you mean by feathers. Not sure what to make of the "console boot" part. It sounds like you are worried about breaking the frame due to too much weight, but as the other poster said it doesn't seem like weight will be an issue.

Feathers = chainstay. Dakar's have a habit of breaking chainstays.

Console boot, I'm guessing by context = a rack, or possibly a trailer

So, will a 154+ lb. rider + 11lbs of luggage somewhere else on the bike + 22lb in a backpack on a rack/pulled in a trailer for a month be too much for his frame?

I have no idea, but I think that's what he's asking.
