    From Heckler to Stumpy Evo?

Thinking of selling my trusty Heckler and getting a Stumpy Evo. Just wondering if anyone has done it and if it was a good call. I want to gain some pedaling efficiency but not lose the DH capabilities. Is this a good upgrade or am I better off on an Enduro?

I've only ever ridden a Hecker around the parking lot, so I can't give you a whole lot of insight there. I can tell you that the SJ Evo is a really good compromise b/t earning ups and blazing the downs. You might consider a Fox 36 or RS Lyrik coming from the bigger bike (I moved from the stock Fox 32 on my 2012 to the Fox 34 and found improvement - the Fox 34 is standard starting in 2013). The SJ Evo has a very low BB, something I like, but does take a bit of getting used to.

Another consideration would be the Enduro. Probably would match up a bit closer to your Heckler, but would be an improvement on weight and pedaling.

I definitely would want a beefier fork since I'm running a 36 Talas now. I like the slightly slacker geometry of the Enduro but don't want to lose pedalability. I rode a standard SJ and thought it was a little small for AM use, maybe I can find the other 2 bikes to try.
