    GT i drive 3.0

I have a 2004 GT I Drive 3.0 with mostly stock parts. I am in need of upgrading and was looking at going to Shimano XT parts. I was wondering if anyone had a list of the part numbers that were compatible with this bike. I'm changing out derailleurs first before going to suspension and others. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Upgrading the bike piece by piece will cost more than simply buying a new bike unfortunately. For a full XT group you are looking at $500+, and suspension will be easily over $1k if you want comparable quality.
A lot of parts will likely not be compatible with what you have (i.e. wheels).
If you are really set on using the frame go for SLX; quality is similar but the price is a lot lower. However I would seriously considering buying a recent used or discounted new bike.
