Got a love hate relationship with Craigslist

Love it cuz I got this for $600...hate it because I didn't really need a new one

The beauty is that I made money selling my 2002 Jekyll, bought from a manager at a bike shop...gotta love when people get deals and pass them along. Also threw in a brand new x7 rd and chain.

Medium 2008 Reign X1, basically stock besides the seat, brakes, and wheels. Waiting for new springs for the shock and fork but she is in pretty darn good shape! Fork stanchions look brand new. Don't mind the sagging chain, just put on the inner tube chain guard and didnt spin the cranks before I snapped the pic.

Gotta love Craigslist...i searched for months waiting for a proper deal and just the other day came across MY 2010 Jamis Dakar XC, was bought new by the previous owner this past spring and he barely rode it. I got it off him for $450 and for that i love craigslist, no hate to be posted at this time.

I had a Prophet lined up 2 hours away and the guy gave me some BS that he got in an accident and couldnt show me the bike the morning I was supposed to drive up there after planning to meet him for a week...blah blah blah. Typical craigslist BS, then I had a trip to Philly planned for ball game and looked on craigslist out there and saw the bike. It's one of those cases where things just worked out for the better. I had been scouring craigslist for about 3 months till I found this, but it was worth the wait.

FYI, those Codes...I had mine warranty replaced w/ the 2011 ones.

I am still trying to decide if I want to throw the set of exiir r's on or keep the codes. Im waiting on some heavier springs so I haven't really been able to test them out off-road. I'm not sure that I'm crazy about them tho.

Was it stolen? That's a incredible deal, and a fun bike.

haha, I doubt it...I met the guy at the shop that he manages to buy it. I honestly just think he got it at cost...maybe around $1600? (its a $2600 bike) rode it for a few years and passed the deal along. It does need a new rear rim but is the only thing. The hub still rolls great but the rim's got 2 slight cracks coming off one of the holes where the nipples go.

The crazy part is that it was posted on a Saturday and I didn't get to the shop till the following Saturday and nobody jumped on it...guess that's Philly folks for ya. (I'm a Pittsurgh guy )
