fox 32 150mm or fox 34 160mm for a trek remedy 9 2013??

My question is which put, the fox float 32 150mm the weight is 1.75kg, and the fox float 34 160mm is 1.95kg ¿is it worth it??is 1 centimeter more but 200 grams more.the trek slash takes the fox 34 160 mm,but maybe with the 150 mm 32 fox trek remedy for this good.thanks

I've never been too impressed with the stiffness of the Fox 32 forks (damping was never that great either). I wouldn't go with anything less than the 34mm 160 on the Remedy and would probably opt for the 36mm 160 if it were me. Depends on your riding style and what type of terrain you normally ride.

I have the Fox 36 160mm front fork on my all mt bike but ride it aggressively. If you want to ride the Remedy more as a xc bike the 32's are fine but with the minimal weight difference it isn't worth it. ymmv

I have a newer 32 on my xcountry bike and love the float but if you plan to fully put the am bike through its paces a 36 would be my recommendation.

The 32 is weak for AM riding. Feels like the front wheel is gonna fall off. I'm disappointed about the slash and enduro coming with 34's. Too flexible for a real AM ride. 36 all the way.

If you're concerned about weight, go on a diet. The 34 is only 20% stiffer than the 32 and in my book, that's not stiff enough.

I wouldn't worry about the weight unless you do a ton of smooth climbing or XC racing....( in which case you have the wrong bike). The 36mm Float forks are pretty light for how stiff they are.

If you're worried about messing up the geometry you can have the 36 lowered to 150mm travel I believe, but I wouldn't do that. I think the Remedy could use the extra slackness the taller fork will create.

I just got a Float 36 160 RC2 for my ’12 Remedy 9.8 and it works awesome! Plenty stiff, plush, adjustable way better than the 32 DRCV that comes on the bike.

I've had Fox 36 Talas on my Remedy since new and love it. It's not a race bike but I enjoyed riding it in the Test of Metal in 2009 and 2010. You'll never notice the difference in weight but you'll aways notice the difference in performance.

Go for the 36. The gain in stiffness is more significant by far than the weight difference.

the drcv system uses 100% of 150 mm of travel but fox 36 160 mm does not use 100% travel,This is what they say

This year, bottles of 36 with axis 20 mm single carrying the slash 7 with rock shock lyrick, slash 8 and 9 mounted fox 34,even santa cruz nomad which is more for enduro-freeride used botlles 34,less weight identic travel, and perhaps somewhat less rigid.

All I know is that when I landed a hi speed drop a little heavy in the front wheel it used all the travel. Coming from the non adjustability of the DRCV I didn't want the 34 because it had the CTD and I wanted the adjustability of the RC2. I'll sacrifice some weight to be able to adjust the fork the way I want lt.

CTD is very simple to use, rc2 can adjust better if you know,If you use the entire route of the drcv, maybe don't carry the pressure of air on your weight, or maybe need fork 180 mm

the frame of the Trek slash only available for United States, in Europe you have to buy the whole bike,I would like to be able to buy only the frame.
