    FoRkS aNd SpOoNs!!!

Now that I got your attention...

I am getting back into riding and got a 2010 Scott Aspect 55 and looking to replace the POS Sun Tour fork that came stock.

Not sure what to look for in a fork or what to buy. Wondering the community thought...

Looking for a great, bomb proof, has little maintenance, 26" Disc Break, 100mm of travel, under $350.

I was looking at the following:

Rockshox Recon Silver TK or Tora models (what do the R, RL, TK, 302.. and all those different letters mean?)

    Manitu Minute

    Marzzochi Marathon

Thanks so much for your help!!

Look for the most recent XFusion forks. Velvet RL can be had for ~$320 with a coupon online. By all accounts a perfectly nice fork with excellent damping.

The thread title was stupid. Could you just ask the question.

I played with one briefly - seems to be as well made as anything, and adjustments actually do something. Reviews of performance are universally positive, it seems. Be sure it is the latest model - they did a significant redesign.

Avoid TK, its crap, IMO. I have no idea what are the current Manitou forks. I have already suggest Velvet (at $40 over TK). If you get Rock Shox, get one with Motion Control.
