First mountain bike, bought a Cannondale Trail SL2... what pedals / seat?

Well, I did it.. I bought my first mountain bike today after much deliberation and I am so happy with my purchase!

I ended up with a 2011 Cannondale Trail SL2, royal blue with a Rock Shox Recon Silver TK fork and Shimano M445 hydraulic disc brakes, everything I wanted and more!

What's more is I only paid $600 AFTER TAX!!!.

I just took it for a ride around campus for about 2 hours, doing some curb hopping and some very light trails / downhill riding.

I may try and snap a few shots of my new baby girl, but I can't promise the lighting will be great.

Oh, before I forget.. one thing that I want to do right away is upgrade the stock pedals and seat, but I would like for your suggestions on what would be a good upgrade for me. I don't want SPD pedals or anything that involves clips so please do not suggest these as I do not want to have to wear special shoes to use them.
