    looking at a Trek ex8 or an Intense Carbine 27.5......

    Whats your price limit? 275 wheels look great on the intense and the suspensions great, as with the components but is obvously more expensive

    I'd go Carbine 275...by looks awesome and has a solid suspension platform.

    @thredbo, i can handle the 5k but for that kinda money I want to test ride it and have no doubts before I buy it but the problem is the nearest shop is about 3-4 hours away...I test rode the ex8 and kinda felt like I was sitting too high and a little over the bars, felt the same way on my Rumblefish...@max1131, it is a beautiful bike (Intense red)...

    If I were you i would make the journey for the test ride as it could be the perfect bike for you.
