    Crank Bros. Joplin Post?

Ok, so for all ya'll who have a Crank Bros. Joplin seatpost, I have a couple questions:

    A) What's it's total length when in it's minimum height position?

    B) What's it's minimum height of the shaft that actually telescopes.

    C) Can the base be cut down two inches if need be?

    D) Are there an better alternatives?

I'm looking for a seatpost that sits in the bike no more than about 200mm, but can extend between 0"-3" with an on-the-fly release...

    a. not sure bud, is it not the the crank brothers site? (Also dependant how much post you need in your frame - but i dont know anyone whos had a problem with the length)
    b. 3 inches
    c. I dont see why not altho there's a shrader valve in there so not sure how much clearance there is.
    d. there is the i900 but its in no way as well made altho it dosent seem to have the same bushing play that my joplin has.

I can measure it accuratley if you want, ping me a PM if you need more info.
