    Carbon or Aluminium

    I'm looking at a Boardman MTB Team do i go the carbon frame or aluminium only 200 or so extra for carbon but is it worth it... Won't be seeing much more than some gravel stony tracks....

    I would look into bamboo frames. The damping qualities are unbeliveable. Makes sure to get your bike inspected for termites if you buy used.
    Bamboo is the way of the future. Carbon is past its prime. And i would never be seen on a bike made of metal.

    The bike has gotten great reviews in the aluminum version. I assume we're talking about the hard tail? It would be nice to test ride the carbon. If it rides well, I'd go for that model, I think.

    And for $200 I'd go carbon as long as you don't crash alot it should be plenty reliable.
