Black Spire Stinger or MRP LRP?

Hey I am looking for a tensioner for running a double on my Heckler.

WHich one works best? Running Stylo cranks w/ 22/32t rings and bashguard.

Stinger is way cheaper price wise compared to the MRP.

    Let me know.

I resolve to constantly assert my honest opinion on anything and everything - whether it is requested or not.

I have an 09 Heckler 22/32, bash, 09 stylo cranks, and a bb mount stinger. Everything works fine. I'd read that the older versions of the stylo don't play nice with a stinger on a 73mm bb but I've had no problems with my setup. Your mileage may vary.

I've used both and to be honest you can't tell the difference.

I think the lrp might have a greater tooth range but i could be wrong.

Both my mates use stingers with no bother!

BB-mount Stinger here. No problems with a 24/36/bash Race Face Evolve DH crankset.

throw an e 13 dr guide into the mix. its like a beefier stinger. just got one and it works brillantly. a plug and play affair, no fiddling with spacer or anything.

I bought the BB stinger for my 6.6, i had to put in a spacer between the stinger and the BB shell, because the stinger is .5mm thicker than the stock 2.5mm shimano spacer that it replaces.

So far, 1 month, its is working great, a small bit of rub on the stinger plate when in my 22t and 34 cog.

I also put a 36t turbocharger bash on.

I like my Truvativ shift guide... Works pretty, helps keep things quiet down there. Although I'd really like to try the Blackspire Dewlie with an ultralight bash ring.

Stinger is cheaper and lighter, but I question the durability - I know of a few in my group that have been bent.

My MRP has taken some big hits (on the guide, not the bash guard, gouges to prove it) and it is still sitting nice and straight.

I also abused an E13 DRS for a number of years - was never unhappy w it either.
