New question here. Bikes For a Big Boy?

I have far outgrown my Cannondale prophet that I have been messing around on. I'm now on a search for a light freeride/all mountain bike that can handle rough downhills, still be pedaled with a decent amount of efficiency, and fit my long legs. I am about 6'5" weighing in at 165-170lbs. I also have relatively shallow pockets, so I may have to go for some older models.

    Bikes For a Big Boy?

I can highly recommend a Firebird. My Lg is built up at 32 lbs. it pedals real well and handles the DH with ease. The great thing about this frame is it will accept 27.5 wheels so even my 2010 135mm frame is state of the art by industry standards. Lol. They can be had for a good price used if you look hard enough.

I am yet to venture into the world of big wheels, but it would definitely be fun to be able to! I'll keep it on my list to research for sure!

I'm 6'4" and ride a LG Banshee Rune v2, they also make it in a XL. It also is able to run both 26 and 650b wheel's and various hub width's with its dropout design. I love mine, it climbs well and decends awesome.
