The Big Boys On 6" Bikes

Hi, I just bought a Scott Ransom 40 and i love it.
other riders tell me that my bike is not in the same lleage as theirs.
would it be fair to include the SCOTT RANSOM with the big boys:
    Nomad, Reain X, 6.6, Enduro???

It's more the rider rather than the bike. Show em that a Ransom can do all that their bikes can then you will have your proof right there.
Progression is fine just remember to respect your roots.

That is a killer bike. I am not sure your friends know what they are talking about? Also, don't forget to include the RM Slayer in the "big boy" list.

It's possible that the reason your friend's don't think it's in the same league as more "known" bikes is cuz Scott just re-entered the US market a couple of years ago. Heck Scott is HQ'd here in Idaho and other than the low end Scott MTB's we have at our store, I really don't see that many Scott's out-and-about let alone the Ransom.

They probably have no idea who "Scott" is...

    Just enjoy the ride.

Those 'other riders' sound like idiots. Tell 'em Scott has been pinning it on the DH ski, MTB & motocross scene for 20 years. I'd take a Ransom over a Reign or Enduro any day.

    you have a great bike!
also for a long travel bike, it's a really efficient pedaler.

    educate these people!

Ransoms make me drool, it's a worthy bike to compare to the rest of the 6" offerings. Tell your freinds to stuff it.
