The best on the trail bike fix!

So we were 11 miles into our 20 mile ride and we hear a loud snapping sound from the bike behind me. Hearing the noise we all stopped expecting a broken chain, but that would have been the good outcome! upon inspection the frame right above the shock weld had completely snapped! Again we still had 9 miles to go with the light fading, so we found a wide enough branch and jammed it into the rear triangle pivot and taped it up with electrical tape. Believe it or not he was faster up hill than before!!!!!!

Thanks, it was a group effort! Think it was a 2008 or 2009.

That's it? That makes me sad.

On a positive note, you must be riding the hell out of it for it to have such a short life span.
Gotta get up to get down.

Great idea! Especially for not having to hike out in the dark.
