    Best Carbon 26" Trail/AM Frame?

Seems that very few have been updated lately. The Mojo HDR has more travel than I'd like, and the TRc is considered a bit long in the tooth. Any other frames I should be looking at?

The Cannondale trigger carbon 26" is a lovely bike/frame, they're not available for 2014 so you see them as closeouts in some stores.

Intense Carbine SL. Probably the best bike I have ever ridden. Then again they all improve every year. I don't think you're going to find to many updated 26ers. Great time to buy a 26er you can find them at blow out prices got mine at bike bling $1599

    Then get it in 650B.........

I have an HD 160 and it doesn't pedal like it has 160...more like 120. Running it with a 34 Float 160 which is pretty light and stiff too. Just did an 80km ride on mine yesterday.

You can also get an HD 140.

If you like the Mojo, take a look at the SL-R. It's more of an all-mountain bike than the SL, but not as much as the HD. I think it just came out last year. I picked one up earlier this summer, and I'm absolutely loving it! The other bike I was looking at was the Santa Cruz Blur TR. It's a "trail bike" but from what I've heard, it just rips in the all mountain category as well. Unfortunately, I could never get my hands on one to try out. If you decide you may want to go with a 650b, I just demoed the SC Bronson and Solo at our local mountain, and they were both really nice bikes. I didn't feel like the 27.5" wheel offered much over a 26", but it didn't have any significant negatives in comparison either.

What are you looking for? Low slack and racy for flowy singletrack? Or high-speed tech plow? Or slow tech manueverable? Or a compromise with a emphasis on what? Do you want plush or playful?

If you don't know what you're looking for, buy a used bike and figure it out before dropping serious coin. (i.e. I had "this" bike and wanted something more playful)
