    All mountain biking pants?

I remember hearing about people in the DH forum and XC forum making fun of each other cause what they wear, so what do people wear for the all mountain forum? What exactly do DH pants provide and why can't you use them for XC?

I wear leather leiderhosen. If you don't, then you're not a real All Mountain dude. And you suck.I like to stop for a couple smokes now and then, too.

You better be using an All Mountain briar pipe when you stop for a smoke. Cigars don't go with lederhosen

I wear some independent skateboarding pants when ever I ride. Their nice lose and thin so I dont over heat in them when I ride, It gives me a little protection between my skin and the ground.

Usually pajama bottoms, jeans, or Dickies, with a t-shirt. Occasionally, a suit.

What everybody is try to tell you is to use the search function - every question about "all mountain" parts/clothing/attitude/cooking has been asked on this forum already.

Your LBS will be happy to put you in the perfect AM outfit and take your money.

As opposed to non leather leiderhosen? I don't think that works.

I prefer chain mail pants. They chafe a bit, but offer real all mountain protection.

Manufacturers are soon going to stop doing AM oriented stuff.
All this ridicule will otherwise kill their businesses...

They'll just change the name to something like All Terrain. Then we'll go through the whole rigmarole of AT saddles, tyres, waterbottle cages and dental floss all over again.
