I'm new to the forum and looking for some opinions from you experienced riders out there. I'm looking to purchase my first full suspension bike and I mainly ride the single track trails in the alberta mountains when out for some riding fun but will bomb around the city with my kids during the week with it. I have been renting bikes in the past for the mountain excursions but feeling the need to have something I can call my own. I have about a $4000 limit ($3000 usd) and I'm trying to decide between the 2018 rocky mountain altitude A30 or the 2019 specialized stumpjumper comp both in the 27.5" tire size. I don't have a clue when it comes to comparing component specs but on paper both bikes look pretty equal and frame dimensions are very similar. Which bike would you choose and why? Thanks in advance.
