2009 Gary Fisher Roscoe III question?

This is probably a stupid question, but I've notice in pictures of 09' Roscoe III's on the internet that the welds conecting the top tube to the seat tube are diffrent. My only guess is that one of them is XL and needs to be reenfored more due to a longer seat tube. Or perpabse one of the pictures isn't a roscoe III at all.

usually the smaller size frames dont have the gussets, but they are needed on larger/longer frames to add strength to a longer wheel based frame which would see more pressure and flex.
