You CAN put one on a Reign, whether it's a good idea or not is debatable.

    Hint: It's not.

You could break your bike at the headtube. Reigns are not designed to take forks bigger than ~160mm, and they are definitely not designed for straight up downhill.

Why? Why would you even consider it? Why would you want to? If you want an 8" fork, you want an 8" bike.

    I totally agree...

actually, for what it's worth, I put 150mm Sektor forks on my normally 120mm Trance and it rides sweet - but I wouldn't go much longer... so, that's a 20% increase in length.

If you are going from 160 to 200 that's a 25% increase in length. The problem you'll have is it raises the front of your bike 40mm which will slacken the head angle by about 1.5 degrees and raise your BB by about 3/4". Basically great for DH but a pig to get on and off and forget about trying to ride uphill...!

Hold onto your money, buy the downhill fork with the downhill bike.

A Reign with a 200mm fork will ride like crap.
