    1999 Klein Attitude disc adapter

I recently purchased a 1999 Klein Attitude. I want to put disc brakes on them. anyone have this bike and did you update them with disc brakes? I need some info as to what adapter was used and so forth. any inof/advice would be greatly appreciated.

If I recall, the brake mount is inside the junction of the seatstay and the chainstay. There are two ways you can do this: 1- call Hayes and ask for the proper rear brake which would have to come from their warranty department for about 75.00 for only the caliper(no hose or lever) which is what I did for my brothers Klein. 2- Get a Brake Therapy unit which would utilize the brake stud on the non drive side. not as clean looking but would still work. Here is the link.... http://2btherapy.com/
    hope that helps

Don't see why it wouldn't work.... that is kinda what I had in mind when I was looking for a adapter when working on my bros bike a while back. it is not a big cost so it would definately be worth a try.... (27.00 shipped). I say go for it

If that doesn't work take a look at these as well, specifically the DM-UNI.

likely won't work with a Klein due to the type of dropout it has.... but who knows...
