    180mm RockShox Lyrik?

I've seen the RockShox "Lyrik RLR 140-180mm" travel listed on a couple of the Scott bikes out there. Anyone else heard anything on a 180mm version of the Lyrik?

Heard that it is just for Scott.

Not saying it won't work its way to the aftermarket in the coming year, but right now, it is exclusive.

Not sure if anybody knows this since the scott bike's haven't started shipping, but is the actual fork any different then a 2010 lyrik?

Would it be possible to get the 180 guts from the scott fork and then convert a 170 lyrik to 180.

In theory, given the RS style dampers, converting a normal 170mm Lyrik could be possible. The air spring could probably be drilled to accommodate 10mm more travel. the only obstacle you'd probably run into is whether or not there's enough stanchion/bushing overlap.

Yeah, that's the big question. It would be nice if somebody had their hands on one and could tell us.

Scott loves having custom OE forks. In 2006 they had a 190mm 66 on the Nitrous 10. Funny thing was, it was about 15mm taller than the 203mm 888 from that year. It was almost unrideable it was so tall and racked out.
