    12 Niner Wfo works headset

In the process of setting up a bigger travel 29er. Picked up a 2012 large frame. Rear is 140mm, front is a new 150mm Pike RCT3. Going with a Works headset probably -1.5 deg. Does this seem reasonable?

I have done this to my last 2 WFO's, a '12 and '14 year models. All the reviews I had read prior to buying the frames had said "if only the HA was slacker"!

I'm currently waiting on the arrival of the new WFO, opps I mean the RIP 9 RDO lol!
I will try it with the "normal" headset that comes with the frame first, but I won't hesitate to put the 1 1/2 deg. on for park days! Enjoy your "new" WFO. One thing you can do with the WFO is to run a 27.5 rear wheel to lower the BB and make it slacker that way also. That year WFO had a pretty high BB so the 27.5 wheel helped out on that!

I have a -2* in my 2013 rip and like what it does for the handling. You do loose a touch of reach making a short bike even shorter.

This is actually a goo thing. Iím just shy of 6í and building a large. Itís a big frame compared to my other larges. No issues running a -2?
