Our project has been tentatively awarded $50,000 from the Alaska State RTP program! Yeah!!!
Come out Tonight to support the final (we promise) approval of the master plan!
The MSB assembly will be voting on the final approval of the Matanuska River Park Master Plan, which includes the bike park. We’re expecting the plan to pass with no problems, but just in case, it would be great to see a few of your faces in the audience to let the assembly know what you think about the project. Let’s keep it positive!
Hopefully some of you guys can make it out Tuesday night!
What: MSB assembly meeting to vote for Mat River Park Master Plan
Where: Borough Building off Dalia Street in Palmer
When: Tuesday March 4th, at 6pm
After you get over the triple exclamation excitement, you’ll be happy to know that Valley Mountain Bikers and Hikers (VMBAH), is also seeking additional grant funds from the Matsu Health Foundation, and People for Bike Organization. We’ve made it to the second round of the grant process for both these organizations, and are keeping our fingers crossed for good news! Hugh Leslie from Matsu Borough Recreation services has also given us the green light to use the MSB trail crew for two weeks on the project.
Including matching funds, we’ve raised nearly $80,000! If you don’t think can help this summer, but want to donate funds, we’ll be opening our Kickstarter campaign on April 10, 2014! See you Tonight is you can make it.
