Hello everyone. We will be hosting another group ride Thursday February, 7th at 7 pm from the Elmore Baseball fields. All this new snow will make the trails quite fun. Hope to see you at the trail-head!

We will be riding from the Raspberry Rd Parking lot at Kincaid Park on Thursday, February 14 at 7 pm. The word is that the trails have been packed and set up well. We are also looking ahead to a weekend ride for next weekend, Feb 23 or 24. If you have not already done so, it may be a good opportunity to send an email to csp@alaska.gov requesting a (free) Middle Fork Fat Bike permit. Include your name & address and they will send your permit back to you.

Hey! Paramount is doing another weekly shop ride this Thursday evening starting at 7pm from the Elmore ball fields trail-head. Come on out and join us for some fatbike fun after dark!

Also coming up this weekend we are hosting a Sunday afternoon shop ride. This ride will start from the Prospect Heights parking area on the hillside which requires a $5 daily pass or state park parking pass (available at Paramount). The ride will go up the South Fork rim trail and continue up the gasline to the Middle Fork trail. From there we will descend the Middle Fork trail into Wolverine Bowl and back to the parking lot. This loop will be a longer ride and depending on conditions could range in time from 2-5 hours to complete. So keep that in mind and plan to bring some food water, extra clothes and and a headlamp. Ride will start at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.

Hey everyone thanks for those that joined us on our Sunday group ride. In true fat bike fashion there was a mix of conditions to deal with which meant we split our time between riding and pushing. However I think it is safe to say that the ride was a success and a great way to spend four hours on a rather nice Sunday afternoon!

This weeks ride will be out at Kincaid Park to pay a nice visit to the beautifully groomed single track trails out on that side of town. As always the ride time is set for Thursday evening at 7 pm from the Raspberry parking lot just outside the gates. Come on out and join us for some great fat bike fun this week!

Homer is super cool. I have ridden down there in the summer. Lots of cool beach cruising. I think those Homer folks like to have a good time should be a lot of fun. Think you should have rested your arms for the 12 oz curls.

We are riding again this week on Thursday starting at 7 pm from the Elmore ball fields.

The route will be: baseball boogie to speedway, up moose meadow and rover's. Cross the road to north bivouac parking lot and down 2.5 km loop. Pick up moose bone trail to endo hill then cross the road to airstrip trailhead. Salmon run to the tour trail, then down to blue dot. Blue dot to moose track, cross smokejumper parking lot to lynx trail. Over to birch meadow and back to Elmore trailhead.

This will be a little longer ride with a completion time of probably around 2 hours so please bring any food, water and extra gear you might need and make sure your light is fully charged! See you at the trailhead.

The ride will probably start without the need of a headlamp but by the end headlamps may be needed so please be prepared. Temps cool off quickly on these clear days so be sure to pack an extra layer so that you don't get cold after the sun drops.

Great advice ^^^^ By 815, things were starting to get dark last night. Also, as soon as the sun got low enough, it quickly dropped into the low 20's, high teens.

This Thursday, March 28, 7 pm. Meet at Raspberry Road parking lot. The report is soft trails, but that could change today. Tire pressure will be the secret. See you there.

Everything was groomed last night. Tower of power, Kitchen Sink, E 1/2 of Bolling Alley has had more traffic and grooming. C$, L-Train, QFB, Good Greef, Mighty Bike, Toilet Bowl, W 1/2 for Bolling Alley are softer.

There will not be a group ride this Thursday, April 4 as it would conflict with the SingleTrack Advocates fund raising event Singletrack Advocates. Come to the Taproot and show your support for Single Track. We will resume group rides next week assuming suitable riding conditions.

Remember, the following week on Thurs, we are needed to support STA during the meeting at Spenard Rec Center. More details to come. This is to talk about the new STA ST in Kincaid. The more folks and support we can show, the better!!!

Just a quick update everybody. Paramount will not be doing a group ride this week. We will pick up next week with a mellow cruise on the city streets and bike paths. See you all next week!
