P.O.S. (Paramount On Snow) group ride

Hey everyone Paramount is going to be changing up the group ride a little this week. Instead of starting from the Elmore ball fields we will be starting the ride from the North Bivouac trail head off Campbell Airstrip Road. The ride distance/ time will be roughly the same as the last several rides. Again its looks like it will be another cold week so be sure to dress warm and stow away an extra layer in a pack in case you think you will need it. If you are coming from the north side of anchorage or the Valley go west on Tudor until coming to the traffic light for Campbell airstrip and make a left and go up the hill several miles. The parking lot will be to your left going up the hill. If you are coming from the south side of town make your way across Elmore to Tudor take a right on Tudor and head east to Campbell airstrip road. Take a right onto Campbell airstrip and head up hill several miles till you reach the parking lot on your left. One last option for anyone not wanting to drive from the south side all the way to the trail head. Margaret and I will be meeting at the parking lot just outside the hilltop ski area gate off of Abbott road by 6:30. We will be riding from there to the North Biv parking area. It is a quick trip and would be a nice warm-up/ cool down for those of you who don't mind the little extra distance and maybe wanna save a little gas. The ride will officially start at 7:00 and should be around an hour to and hour and half. See you all at the trail head for some more fat bike fun!

Hey Curley, I don't know whether there is a ride this week, but last week was awesome. About 10 people showed up and we had a nice 8 miler--one stretch (called "black bear"?) was a little rough for me, but overall a great time.

Hey Curly the group ride last week was good. Like Lars mentioned we had around 10 people for the group despite the colder temps. We are riding again this week. There are so many fat bikes out roaming this town now that the trails are already packing out. The riding by Thursday should be good. The new snow is helping to smooth out trails a little more. Even if we do get new snow you won't have to worry cause the moonlander trail grooming machine will be out front laying down a nice wide solid footprint for you to ride through.
